In order to make working through a list as low-friction as possible, the list should either automatically scroll as items are checked to bring unchecked items into view and/or sort completed items to the bottom.

After a list name is specified, give the user the option to have the built-in foundation model generate a list of items for that list as a starting point. (On devices that support the foundation model.)

It's annoying to have the phone lock when you're in the middle of a checklist. Some kind of stay-alive option would be helpful.

Add "New Item" button to checklist completion screen that would allow the user to enter the name of a new item and have it added both to the list-in-progress and the template for that list type. Good way to add new items on the fly as they occur to you.

Fire a notification 5 minutes after the app is exited with a partially-completed list in progress to remind the user to come back and finish up.

Fire a notification at preset times. Tapping opens the app and starts that checklist.
